George Haynes
Composer
George Haynes is currently a countertenor Lay Vicar in the choir of Chichester Cathedral. He grew up in Northampton where he was trained as a chorister and organist at All Saints’ Church, before going on to sing in Wells Cathedral, York Minster, and Peterborough Cathedral at various points. In addition to singing, accompanying and conducting, George has composed music for various choirs and performers, and in 2013 was the winner of the Eton Choral Course Composition Competition, which included a performance of his work on BBC Radio 3.
