Nicholas Ansdell-Evans
Composer
Nicholas Ansdell-Evans has composed instrumental and chamber music, songs, and choral and organ music. Recent premieres have included the unaccompanied choral works Vivre d’amour on a text by Ste Thérèse de Lisieux, performed by the St Stephen’s Consort in Dulwich and Normandy, and an eight-part setting of Ave verum corpus. Nicholas is currently writing an orchestral work and a song cycle on poems by Austrian poet Elsa Asenijeff for mezzo-soprano Josipa Bainac as a song commission from the Austrian Cultural Forum. His opera Carina has received an acclaimed showcase at English National Opera.
Nicholas is also a freelance pianist, music coach, and conductor.
