Bruno Vlahek
Composer
Bruno Vlahek was born 1986 in Zagreb, Croatia, and studied at the music universities of Zagreb, Lausanne, Cologne, and Madrid. Active as a concert pianist, organist, and composer, he is winner of the highest prizes of many piano and composition competitions. For his achievements he was awarded an Honorary Diploma by Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain. He regularly appears as a soloist or as part of the D&B Piano Duo in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, Russia, and the Middle East. He has written numerous orchestral, chamber, solo, and choral works in various genres which have been performed on five continents in cities such as London, New York, Chicago, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Amsterdam, Cambridge, Lisbon, Prague, Salzburg, Moscow, St Petersburg, Seoul, Singapore, and Sydney.
Bruno’s works have received awards from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, and have been published in Croatia, the United Kingdom, Russia, and the United States. He also teaches, serves as a member of international competitions, and gives masterclasses in many countries.
