The Marian Consort presents a programme of contemporary works influenced by composers of the Renaissance, including music by Gabriel Jackson, Lennox Berkeley, Cecilia McDowall, and the London premiere of Emily Levy’s “In paradisum” for consort, chamber choir and children’s choir, written especially for The Marian Consort and juxtaposing texts from the Latin Requiem Mass with poetry by Andre Dubus on themes of loss, hope, and consolation
