Jonathan Millican

Composer

Jonathan Millican has been involved in cathedral music for more than 30 years. He began as a chorister at Carlisle Cathedral in 1989 under Andrew Seivewright and Jeremy Suter and is currently the senior bass lay clerk under Mark Duthie. He directs the Cathedral Voluntary Choir and The Abbey Singers as well as various other groups and projects around the Carlisle area; he is a volunteer member of the RSCM in the North. Known mostly for his work as a vocal soloist around the North of England, his compositions are becoming increasingly popular in his home county of Cumbria and in southern Scotland.
